I run an e-commerce business by day. For twenty years, a good part of that job has been dealing with problems nobody sells a decent fix for: photographing large products, tracking things that spreadsheets quietly ruin, keeping discipline in places where discipline is expensive.

At some point I stopped waiting for someone to build the fix and started building it myself. A rule emerged without me noticing: I only build things I need first. I’m the first user, the first complaint, and the first refund request. If the thing survives me, other people usually turn out to have the same problem.

This blog is the paper trail. Each post is one problem: why it hurt, what I tried that didn’t work, what I built, and what running it taught me — including the invoices that didn’t add up and the bugs that hid for weeks.

I write here under a pen name. The products are real, the numbers are real (lightly rounded), and the mistakes are definitely real.
